Ecumenism and Inter-Church Relations
- Inter-Christian dialogue.
- Build relationships among Christians; to improve our understanding of what it means to be Christians in Muslim societies and to develop relationships between the historical churches and the non-denominational, Pentecostal and evangelical churches;
- Serve the spiritual and social needs of the Christian community in the GCC, which includes the shared vocations of pastoral care, chaplaincy, education, and meeting the physical needs of the community;
- Share best practices regarding the ecumenical sharing of facilities;
- Encourage one another ecumenically and to enjoy Christian fellowship;
- Develop a system for communications between churches to prevent rebaptism and to insure that marriages are legitimate;
- Pray for shared concerns;
- Find ways of overcoming language barriers;
- Find ways of overcoming other impediments to ecumenism (lack of time, transient nature of leadership in Gulf, etc.);
